What makes our gingerbread cookies so special?
Our handmade gingerbread cookies are baked according to an old family recipe that dates back to the 1920s and has essentially changed little over the generations. In addition to a significantly higher hazelnut content and almost five times the weight (~125g) compared to commercially available "Nuremberger Elisen", our creations impress with their traditional handcrafted production, the highest number of delicious varieties and a particularly juicy bite thanks to only a few days, that lie between production and shipping.
Then as now, every gingerbread is a unique, elegant treat, with no two being alike and enchanting all the senses.

We're going into the Macarons winter break - available again from January
Our macarons production is taking a winter break and making room for our gingerbread, which can be ordered online again from October to Christmas. Selected macarons are available for on-site sale in our store in Memmingen.

Macarons are a fine baking art in themselves. Despite the more than 30 varieties, we always go on inspiration journeys to discover new and unusual culinary creations and develop them using new craftsmanship.

Summer ice cream enjoyment.
When nature in the Allgäu awakens around Easter , our gelato makers ring in the summer half-year. In our modern gelateria, 20 different types of “Gelato Artigianale” are waiting in the display case every day. Traditionally in the Italian style, the ice cream is cooled in round pozzetti, which gives the ice cream a special creaminess so that you can artfully spoon it onto the waffle or into the cup. Classic ice cream flavors as well as new delicious compositions are based on inherited family recipes that we have preserved and optimized since 1924.

CHRISTMAS MARKETS 2021
A special feature of the Advent season in Germany are the beautiful Christmas markets, which invite you to stroll in winter. We have been present as a supplier at the Munich Christmas market at Marienplatz as well as the Ulm Christmas market with our Christmas gingerbread and chocolate specialties for years. Addendum: In 2021, the “Ulm Christmas Market” and the “Munich Christmas Market on Marienplatz” took place due to COVID19 not or only in a shortened form.

NEW: “ALLGÄUER EIERLOGÖR” GINGERBREAD ACCORDING TO GRANDFATHER’S RECIPE
As with our gingerbread in general, with our new "eggnog" variety we used a traditional family recipe that we refined again and again until the enjoyment was balanced and perfect. The highlight: a high-quality eggnog from happy chickens, freshly roasted hazelnuts, melt-in-the-mouth white chocolate from Belgium and masterful craftsmanship. The gingerbread is decorated with yolk-yellow couverture filling and fine dark chocolate sprinkles. With the variety, the diversity increases again by one variety. With around 40 varieties of handmade gingerbread and a few new seasonal creations every year, we like to set new standards for our customers - and have been considered the " gingerbread shop with the largest variety of handmade gingerbread " since 2019. In addition to classic variants with chocolate, almonds or marzipan, the range extends to creations with pistachio pesto, desert dates & gold leaf or salted caramel.
We are already planning a few new exclusive gingerbread varieties for the 2021 winter season.

»1630 - ice cream creation for the historic Wallenstein Festival 2022«
In July 2022 - after a two-year break - the historic Wallenstein Festival will finally take place again, telling the tradition of "anno 1630" in the unique setting of Memmingen's old town. For this occasion, we have created our own "Wallenstein ice cream flavor", which the famous general would certainly have loved when he resided in Memmingen for several months in 1630...
Our “1630” creation is a composition of fresh Alpine milk, cream, honey and crispy “Wallenstein” cookies - refined with fine nut nougat cream.
